The pictured kit includes one number candle for each digit from 0 through 9. You can combine different digits for ages such as 10, 25 or 42. An age with a repeated digit, such as 11 or 22, needs a second matching number candle; duplicate digits are not included in one kit.

Arrange the numbers and toppers on a cake

Place the age near the center so it is readable from the front of the table. Arrange a short row or shallow arc of black candles around it, with enough room to keep the number visible. Add the ball toppers sparingly along the outer area of the cake, and position a text topper behind the main candles if the cake has space.
